Yesterday I was asked how make comments appear in a smaller, popup window, so today I'll cover that. It won't make for a very long post but I'm always happy to answer questions, so keep em coming if anybody has anything else they want to know.
I think I may have covered this once already but I scanned through my recent posts and didn't see it. Just log in, go to Settings > Comments and the third section on that page has a setting for pop-up window. That should be all you need to change to do what was asked. See this pic for reference:
To all my readers who already know this stuff, I'll try to get back to posting some more stuff that would be useful to everybody, in the near future. I've been pretty busy lately and it hasn't left me much time to think of any really good stuff for the blog. So maybe next time I'll have something more interesting. But of course I still welcome any questions of any difficulty, and I'll try to answer as best I can.
Thanks to everybody following.
Pop-up or embedded at the end of a post both work for me. I really REALLY hate the "full page" option. It leaves a ton of white space, leaves out the the post you're trying to respond to (which is important for most blogs) and it's just not efficient.
ReplyDeleteInteresting stuff, I prefer the comment box at the bottom and not so much the pop out ones.

yeah, i like it embedded. just seems more natural to me. but pop-up isn't bad. i also don't like the full page option. that seems more annoying to me.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, but I do admit I like embedded more
ReplyDeleteMuch better idea this way
ReplyDelete~I don't really like pop-outs, I don't know why but I just don't.
ReplyDeleteInformative as always.
already done that. because I have music playing on the background, it helps not stopping the music
ReplyDeleteI prefer the embedded since it lets me see the whole post easily.
ReplyDeletesweet thanks, i was wondering how to do this
ReplyDeleteIt annoys me when people have the pop out comment boxes tbh - there isn't really any benefit I can see - however - its not less beneficial than the embedded option I guess.
ReplyDeletei prefer embedded, but a good guide nonetheless
ReplyDeletei hate these type of comments
ReplyDeletei prefer embedded comment sections. otherwise you get to many windows
ReplyDeleteHm I prefer comments embedded as well.
ReplyDeleteI agree, embedded is the way to go.
ReplyDeleteWow, you must be a blogger expert :D
ReplyDeleteI prefer embedded, the pop up just seems kind of annoying.
ReplyDeletei like the embedded comments too
ReplyDeleteEmbedded ! don't want to annoy your visitors.
ReplyDeleteI personally like the comments in the same window as the post, but it looks cleaner with a pop up
ReplyDeleteI find the pop up annoying.
ReplyDeleteI used to do the pop up thing, but noticed it was a tad bit annoying too. But to each his own I guess.
ReplyDeleteThe pop up can be good for certain sites, but usually annoying :)

ReplyDeletepop ups seem so annoying to me.

ReplyDeleteoh shit thanks so much how do you make the post comments appear in a seperate box?
ReplyDelete@BucEmHard,
ReplyDeletethe pop up thing should put em in a seperate box window, or is that not what you meant?
