I'm feeling kind of lazy tonight so just a quick tutorial on making the background to your posts invisible, so it doesnt block the view of your blog background...
Most of you probably know this already or don't care but I'm lazy and don't know what else to talk about. This might work better with some backgrounds than others but if you think it'd fit with whatever theme you've got going, then here's how I did it.
1.) just log in and go to design, template designer
3.) Click apply to blog and check out your new clear post background.
Three easy steps and a pretty cool effect if used well. With some backgrounds it could make it hard to read the post, but I don't think that's the case on mine(is it?), so I assume this could benefit some other people as well. Let me know what you guys think and if you have any suggestions for what I should write about next. I could always go back to posting about explosives and "kitchen chemistry" but for now I'm pretty much out of ideas for the blog tutorial series. Let me know if theres something I should cover or something you need help with.
Neat, i'll have to apply that to my own blog.
ReplyDeletejust post whatever you can until you get a good idea. we don't mind.

ReplyDeleteI'm gonna use it when I'll have some time for personalizing my blog
ReplyDeleteI knew about this :) I need to redesign my whole blog, forcing myself to do that for a while.
ReplyDeleteHowever this is one more quality tutorial from you! :)
another great one.
ReplyDeleteAs always, we appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteTaking the captcha off was probly the best thing I've learnt from your blog - it's so irritating and so easy to remove. The tutorial series has been really helpful - but kitchen chemistry is always fun!
ReplyDeleteI trust you..Put anything you like,i always find your advices useful...

ReplyDeleteYour blog uses this effect extremely well...I'd have to find a suitably epic pic before I could do this with my own.
ReplyDeletewell thanks, Augustine. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks i might actually do this on my blog. Very usefull.

ReplyDeleteI want to know how you hid the rest of this post and linked to here. :x
ReplyDeleteGreat info!
ReplyDeleteyour blog is the definition of quality. good stuff.
ReplyDeleteDon't think I'll use it because I think it will make the writing unreadable on my blog, but thanks, should I ever intend to change the background :)
ReplyDelete@tasty, then that's what i'll cover next, check back here around midnight CST when my posts usually go up. thanks for the idea, i was thinking of doing that next anyway. :)
ReplyDeletethis blog is amazing. i have so many things i would like to ask but you are teaching me something new in every post so ill wait until i learn all this stuff. one quick question tho: on the reactions does it tell you who left them? ie does it tell you who clicked cool, who clicked useful etc? thanks!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the sweet tutorials dood. Much appreciated. Now if only I had a few mins to fix up my blog... >:3

ReplyDeleteI should do this. Still rocking the pre-made background template.
ReplyDeleteits a neat feature but make it rather hard to read the actual text so I prefer using solid backgrounds for posts
ReplyDeleteLazy or not it's still helpful!
ReplyDeletei was scrolling thro ur blog and was about to scream "my eyes!myeyes" then expanded it and worked well:)
ReplyDeleteKool background - listening to music while having favorite puff

ReplyDeleteyou still need to tweak your sidebar a bit..it's nice to see the girl and all but its terribly hard to read the text in the boxes because of her.
